A day or two before the diplomatic Communion session over Manon, Cyrus will come find Hayame at her stall. He’s here on business to make a bit of an introduction, and to provide an opportunity down the line, if she’s interested and can keep some secrecy. Cyrus explains that with the matter of Oracles starting to divide the two factions further, he must think of the people of Springstar first. [FORMERLY REDACTED INFORMATION] He tells her he’s concerned that as tensions increase, Zenith could withdraw access to Alenroux for Meri, which would lead to a famine in Springstar because of how many more people Springstar has than Highstorm. So, the General of Springstar’s military, Ayo Zaman, is quietly working on training their troops to occupy Alenroux to ensure that they won’t lose access to their food and to begin clearing the land of its threats so it becomes liveable. [/FORMERLY REDACTED INFORMATION] Cyrus stresses that this is all considered very secret information and could be dire if it made it to Zenite ears, so to be cautious with who to share this information with, if anyone.
He's telling her this because he’d like for Hayame to assist General Zaman in training their troops in archery, especially with the knowledge she has about the creatures in Alenroux. She can refuse, of course, but he’s earnest in saying that he believes that Hayame would be able to help them. If she accepts, Hayame will indeed be assisting the military branch of Springstar with archery training. She’ll be able to train with them and improve her skills and can learn additional skills/weaponry if she’s interested. She’ll also be personally introduced to and acquainted with General Zaman. If she refuses, Cyrus will understand, and just offer his hopes that when they’re ready to start claiming Alenroux, she’ll consider helping. [Hayame accepted his offer and became an archery instructor the the military.]
… He’ll also (politely) inquire about her living in the stall, as a side note. He knows Springstar isn’t the easiest to navigate for people that aren’t exactly bipedal, but if it’s something she wants, she can have accommodations that are a bit more comfortable and made for her needs. This is a side thing to the above, though, and he won’t push the matter. [... She did take him up on the offer to see what he means by those sorts of accommodations.]
