Scent Post [Kenos]
As a jinba, Hayame has an enhanced sense of hearing, sight, and smell. When tracking enemies or recognizing people at a distance/dim light, she sometimes relies particularly on smell. If she spends enough time around someone she will naturally begin to recognize their scent and become able to pick them out of a crowd, and sometimes she intentionally tries to memorize scents if she suspects she may need to track down someone or hunt them at a later date.

EXAMPLE
Strength of Scent: not as strong as you'd think, she washes frequently to minimize Horse Smell
Scent Characteristics: earthy, natural, and equine, with a touch of camellia aroma from her hair oils and a sharp scent from her hoof polish
Other: When she's in heat (approximately one week each month, spring through fall), her scent becomes very strong and very obviously musky. Because this embarrasses her, she spends a lot of time bathing during this period, and sometimes ties bags of potpourri to the base of her tail to try and mask the scent.

Strength of Scent: Medium-ish? Average? He washes regularly, but he also tends to do a lot of physical stuff like training, fighting, manual labor, etc.
Scent Characteristics: That salt/earth tang of sweat; his shampoo tends toward the floral, as does his soap. Other than that, he doesn't think much about his scent, although he sometimes does try to use a deodorant. He likes cedar as a scent.
RIN TOHSAKA
Rin's natural scent is impacted by the medicine she takes to suppress her magic crest. It is a mixture of bitter herbs and ground bone. She mentions smelling like an apothecary, which gives her an earthy, herbal, and resinous base note.
Additional Scent: rose, jasmine, ylang ylang, peony, and bergamot
As someone who worries deeply what she smells like, Rin goes through great lengths to smell good. She sews sachets of dried flowers into the seams of her clothes and makes sure to wear perfume every day. Her scent profile tends to be "floral," and "bright." Lavender and chamomile may be a tertiary because she probably uses that to scent her bedding to help her sleep.
Strength of Scent: Noticeable, but not overpowering to a human nose
Because Rin was raised in Japan and strong scents are typically frowned upon, Rin's aroma is probably noticeable and pleasant — but not overtly strong. However for someone with a sensitive nose they probably could pick her out easy in a crowd (unless someone else was worse about drenching themselves in perfume/cologne).
Other: Perfume is not an Oracle Priority
When it comes to Oracle events and other such things where supplies are limited/she cannot return home, the perfume is forgotten. Her clothes still have those sachets of dried flowers sewn into the inner seams, and her perfume will probably stick to her hair, but everywhere else it will fade as the days pass, and her 'natural scent' will become more prominent.

Strength of Scent: Quite strong but not overpowering. A normal human would be able to smell him when standing next to him without having to lean in.
Scent Characteristics: Smells like a campfire or a forge, lots of ash and smoke with an underlay of weapon oil and something almost musky. Doesn't use scented soap or anything like that.
Other: When casting magic the ash/smoke smell increases to be overpowering.

Strength of Scent: I have to admit I don't even know if he bathes like normal humans because he's an enhanced version of a dhampir......... but his actual bodily scent is probably subdued.
Scent Characteristics: Conditioned leather and metallic steel, wherever he's been at the time (forest, pool, ocean, etc.), and the natural smell of warm human skin. He doesn't stink, but he doesn't really smell like anything in particular himself. Since he's usually a wanderer, I like the idea of him picking up scents on his clothes and carrying them with him to the next place.
Other: When he taps into more vampire powers, his scent probably gets a lot stronger and becomes more sensual like... sandalwood, amber, and warm tonka. He also probably smells a lot like blood.

Scent Characteristics: Primarily grass, dirt, sweat, campfire smoke; hints of soap, flowers, leather, polishing oil, animal blood

Strength of Scent: Noticeable when he's within arm's reach by normal human standards. Not cloying or overpowering, but unlikely to be overlooked.
Scent Characteristics: Decidedly floral, bringing to mind lilacs in late spring. It's a gentle, sweet aroma that comes from personal grooming supplies he's accustomed to making himself. Those with a keener sense of smell may pick up notes of kitchen spices or baked goods, for instance fresh bread or apple pie, owed to the fact that he's the one cooking at Byleth's house. Steel is notable, for all the knives he has tucked away at any given time. How many knives? Yes.
Someone with Hayame's olfactory senses will pick up on the sachet he carries in an interior pocket of his jacket, which smells much more strongly of these mingled scents, but by virtue of its size and concealment often goes unnoticed.
Other: His strongest magics fall under wind and light, so enough casting will result in the ozone scent that typically would follow a rainstorm.

Strength of Scent: Strong and "lingering" to specifically women. Hm.
Scent Characteristics: Behold, his Masculine PHEROMONES and boy smell. 🤘❤️🔥 Am I joking? Kind of, but unfortunately kind of not. According to the BASTARD!! lore book, he oozes sex appeal and has a "Wow! Just the smell of Dark Schneider is going to get me pregnant!" effect on people.
He is noted to be very vain and also practices thousands of magic practices which sometimes have been shown to require physical catalysts. As such, in addition to his natural pheromones, he may also smell of the leather bindings of his tomes, the faint dragons blood incense of his High Ancient rituals, with bottom notes of cardamom spice. Dark's taste in scents can be described as warm, full-bodied, and spicy, and would be reflected in items such as his personal soaps, shampoos, or lotions.

Strength of Scent: Fairly low. Although Liem likes using scented products, he avoids strong scents due to his own keen sense of smell. Someone with a human nose would need to lean into his space to smell him.
Scent Characteristics: Liem's natural scent tends to be very faint, as his skin produces very little in the way of oils or sweat, and he washes frequently. If he is travelling, and not using the scented products he uses while at home, those with a strong sense of smell may notice that his natural scent is a little different from a normal human's. It does not smell bad necessarily, but it is a little alien.
Liem prefers soaps, lotions, and personal care products with a warm, full-bodied scent profile, leaning towards notes of spice and citrus. In most cases he will also smell of black tea or coffee, which he has become addicted to and will be very grumpy without. Since he usually has at least a dagger sheathed on his person, he tends to also smell faintly of weapon oil and leather.
Other: If he has fed recently, he may also smell faintly of blood. Usually this will be once every one to two weeks.

Strength of Scent: not super strong as she keeps herself tidy, but whatever is on her is fresh; she's very mindful about bathing regularly, but active enough that she gathers a lot of different scents over the day
Scent Characteristics: earthy, rustic from her caring for her chickens and frequently petting the house dog and various cats; sometimes smells of coffee because she helps at Dokja's cafe; underneath all that, smells mildly floral due to her shampoo/soap
Other: If Hayame's nose is strong enough, she's free to notice that Gray always has metal/leather beneath her cloak because she keeps a knife sheathed at her back.

Strength of Scent: His cologne scent is strong enough to be fairly noticeable to a normal human. Everything else someone might notice if they (a human) were standing/sitting close enough.
Scent Characteristics: Basically this. He also smells like ocean air and metal/leather. Some of the scents will likely be familiar to her since they're associated with the care and maintenance of swords. Gunpowder and gun oil. Snakes?
Other: Does magic smell like something? Who knows. Maybe a little ozone under it all. My headcanon is that they don't smell human where you'd expect a human scent underneath it all since they're just made of magic, so do with that what you like!

Strength of Scent: Mild, more of a suggestion than anything particularly strong, but noticeable enough to someone like Hayame.
Scent Characteristics: Sweet and warm with the faintest fruity notes, like getting a whiff of freshly steeped chamomile. Typically he smells clean, perhaps a little too much so.
Other: If he's been in a fight or occasions to feed, he will smell faintly of fresh blood.
